The whole Koprivnice industrial area is historically joined with railway transport. One of the main European railway lines runs through the Koprivnice area and container services are readily available in larger towns.
Rail transport is served by the European lines E40 from Le Havre to Lvov and E65 from Vienna to Gdansk. The electrified line No. 270 represents an important section of the main railway line of the Czech Republic, Prague - Bohumin.
One section of the line situated in the Koprivnice locality forms the 2nd railway transit corridor. At present the 2nd railway corridor (Austria/Breclav/ Prerov/Ostrava/Poland) is under fundamental modernization. This corridor offers among others fast and high-capacity connection between Koprivnice locality and Prague.
Koprivnice locality’s network of local lines can link easily to the main railway lines and the rest of the Czech Republic.
