Koprivnice is connected to its smaller neighbour Stramberk and is close to the towns of Pribor, Frenstat pod Radhostem and Novy Jicin.
Together with the surrounding villages and the nearby towns of Stramberk and Pribor, Koprivnice has developed into a successful economic micro-region based upon mutually beneficial initiatives and a common aim to secure the prosperity of the area.
Koprivnice is one of the key residential areas of the Ostrava residential agglomeration, as are the city of Ostrava, and the towns of Frydek-Mistek, Karvina, Novy Jicin and Opava.
The area including the nearby Beskydy Mountains, Hukvaldy and Stramberk is an important tourist destination offering the visitor fine examples of Koprivnice’s history, culture, industrial heritage and also provides a variety of outdoor pursuits.
