For the past eight years, the municipality of Koprivnice has been preparing an industrial zone on a green-field site for the construction of industrial and business premises to attract foreign investors. The 82-hectare Koprivnice Industrial Park offers a unique opportunity for major development.
This project is a result of the commitment and investment that the Municipality of Koprivnice has made to the creation of employment opportunities and the development of the region’s economy. So far €3.63m have been spent on purchasing the land and building the necessary infrastructure.
There are gas, electricity, drinkable and utility water supplies available. Drains for surface water and wastewater have also been laid. Telephone connections have already been prepared, and internal service roads in the zone have also been completed.
The Koprivnice Industrial Park has been greatly welcomed and supported by the inhabitants of Koprivnice and other towns in the area. They see it as a catalyst for further employment creation and increasing prosperity.
It is also supported by the country’s state institutions – by Ministries and by development and investment agencies. The project is also supported by the Phare Foundation. The Koprivnice Industrial Park was declared accredited industrial zone by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and CzechInvest agency in March 2003.
