In recent years, the Czech labour market has been affected by many political and economic changes and has gradually acquired the characteristics considered normal for market economies.
Currently (at November 2010) the Koprivnice locality's unemployment rate is significantly higher than the average rate for the Czech Republic (10.4 % compared with 8.6 %).
