Surroundings

• Koprivnice is connected to its smaller neighbour Stramberk and is close to the towns of Pribor, Frenstat pod Radhostem and Novy Jicin.

• Together with the surrounding villages and the nearby towns of Stramberk and Pribor, Koprivnice has developed into a successful economic micro-region based upon mutually beneficial initiatives and a common aim to secure the prosperity of the area.
• Koprivnice is one of the key residential areas of the Ostrava residential agglomeration, as are the city of Ostrava, and the towns of Frydek-Mistek, Karvina, Novy Jicin and Opava.
• The area including the nearby Beskydy Mountains, Hukvaldy and Stramberk is an important tourist destination offering the visitor fine examples of Koprivnice’s history, culture, industrial heritage and also provides a variety of outdoor pursuits.
